Surprising Interview

Hello again!

So the other day, I had an interview for a position at a prestigious law firm. I came well prepared in my opinion. I put on my best suit and a smiling face. I actually believe I was a bit qualified for the position I was applying for, considering all the previous experience I’ve had working for other firms.

So get this! I walk into the firm and take a seat at the front lobby.  When I get called in, a tall, stalky man takes me through the office and into a room for my interview. Although my walk was brief, I couldn’t help but notice how male dominated the office was. Out of all the people I passed in the office, there was perhaps only two women that I saw that day; the woman at the front desk and one secretary. I take pride in being a woman lawyer, but after that brief walk, I wondered what my actual chances were of getting a spot in the firm. It’s hard to believe that male-dominated companies still exist in modern society! WOW! I’m appalled.

Anyway, I still gave my best during the interview. I should receive a call back sometime soon with some kind of news. Who knows? Maybe this particular firm is ready for a change.
